Chapter Four

Mikkel stood on the opposite side of the waterfall, in a beautiful cave, the dark walls decorated in naturally grown blue and white crystals. Beyond the veil of water, he heard wolves fighting ferociously. He imagined the sharp teeth tearing into flesh, the claws leaving cruel-looking gashes in the belly. He knew who it was—Rayce and Sorth.

“I did this,” he whispered more to himself than to Petar.

“Don’t worry. Sorth will take care of Rayce.”

Mikkel glanced back at Petar. The male was sitting on a boulder, staring over at him intently. “What do you mean?”

Petar looked down at his feet. “Sorth may be a brute on the battlefield and in training, but he takes care of those who he believes are worthy. He warned you, you didn’t listen, so now he is defending you.”

Mikkel shook his head. “La’el has no idea—”

“He has every idea.” When Mikkel’s eyes met Petar’s, Petar rose and moved toward him, unabashed of his nudity since he returned to human form. “He loves my brother.”

Mikkel frowned. “And they…share flesh?” His voice was low and laced in confusion.

“They do.”

“I never knew La’el liked males.” Mikkel glanced over his shoulder at the waterfall, as if he could see La’el on the other side. The bewilderment swirling through his head was bothering him. Petar sounded so sure of his words.

“Liked males? Or liked being pleasured by one?”

“Both.” Turning his focus back to Petar, he inhaled sharply as he found the male directly in front of him, barely five inches separating their bodies. “What are you doing?”

“He’s interested in you, as I am.”

Mikkel turned on his heel at the sound of the new voice, watching Sorth come through the waterfall. He was covered in scratches and bite marks. Completely naked, like Petar behind him, Mikkel couldn’t help his stare as it traveled down Sorth’s toned body to the heavy cock hanging between his legs.

Mikkel shivered roughly, his body vibrating from the touch of the male’s lips against his skin. “I didn’t,” he whispered slowly, his skin tingling.

Sorth laughed, and when his hand gripped Mikkel’s chin, Mikkel’s eyes flew up to lock gazes with the male. “You’re lying.”

Mikkel shook his head, trapped between two powerful bodies. “Do you do this to all your Battle Wolves?”
